Mid-Year Check-In: Is Your NDIS Plan Still Working for You?

We’re already halfway through the year—can you believe it? As mid-year hits, it's a great time to pause, reflect, and ask: is my NDIS plan still working for me? Life doesn’t stand still, and your plan should evolve with you. Whether you’ve experienced big changes or just need a quick review, now’s the perfect time to check in.

Here are five questions to guide your review:

  • Have your needs or goals changed recently?

  • Are you using all your available funding effectively?

  • Are there any supports you’re no longer using—or wish you had more of?

  • Has anything changed in your day-to-day life (e.g. living situation, work, education)?

  • Do you feel confident your plan aligns with where you want to be in six months?

If you answered ‘yes’ to any of these, it might be time to look at your options. You can request a plan reassessment if your current plan isn’t working. This doesn’t have to wait for your annual review. Talk to your support coordinator or plan manager—they’ll help you decide if a review is needed and support you through the process.

It’s also a good time to think ahead. Mid-year is ideal for setting some small, achievable goals for the remainder of the year. Whether it’s learning a new skill, joining a community activity, or simply feeling more confident at home, there are supports available to help.

The NDIS isn’t just about funding—it’s about you. Your goals, your growth, your future.

If you’d like help reviewing your plan, we’re here to support you. Contact Alula today to see if there’s any changes that you can benefit from.
